Now is your chance to discover what the Library has to offer as part of the New Student Orientation. The meeting place for the tours is just inside the entrance to the Library in the Braniff Building. The scheduled times follow:

Mon. Aug. 30th 1:30pm - 2:00pm and 4:00pm-4:30pm
Tues. Aug. 31st 11am - 11:30am and 3:00pm-3:30pm

Quotes in Classical Tragedy

This insightful exhibit is a counterpoint to the comedy display at the William A. Blakley Library. The juxtaposition of the two displays correlates to the opposing genres of the Western Canon,those works which have had a strong influence on Western culture.

Chuckles on Display

Is there humor in the Classics? Well, come on into the library and see a selection of classic quotes from Plato, Shakespeare, and Kant, to name a few. Find the way: continue past the entrance on the main level of the library, straight ahead, then to the right, and see the display case filled with delights.

New feature in Business Source Complete

Now you can watch lectures from the Harvard Business School Faculty Seminar Series videos. “All lectures are captured from executive education programs, and offer groundbreaking ideas, insightful research, and practical advice on management issues. The videos contain a table of content allowing the selection of a specific topic. Most lectures provide a transcript in PDF format”. These videos are available in the database Business Source Complete on the library website.

Search options are:
1-enter subject term, such as economics, and limit by the Publication Name, i.e. Harvard Business School Faculty Seminar Series
2-click on the More button on the top menu bar, select Business Videos/Images from the drop down menu, enter Harvard Business School Faculty Seminar Series in the search box, and browse through the 55 videos.

Hours for 1/10 to 1/17 are as follows:

Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday - 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sunday CLOSED
