Drinks now allowed in Blakley Library!

Announcing a new change to library rules:

Patrons are now allowed to bring in drinks as long as they are in secured containers.  However, liquids must be kept in spill-proof travel mugs, capped bottles, or sports bottles with a pop-up spout.  No open containers, soda cans, or styrofoam/plastic cups (with or without lids) will be allowed.  Patrons may not bring any drink near the library computers, copiers, or other electronic devices.

Food is still banned.

Enjoy!

Old and New Testament Abstracts

The Blakley Library is pleased to announce the addition of two new databases, Old Testament Abstracts Online and New Testament Abstracts Online.

Old Testament Abstracts Online is a product of a partnership between ATLA and the Catholic Biblical Association. The database features indexing and abstracts for journal articles, monographs, multi-author works, and software related to Old Testament studies. Abstracts from over 450 journals are included. All abstracts are in English, regardless of the language of the original work. Topics covered include antiquities, archaeology, biblical theology, philology and much more. Coverage in the database dates back to 1978.

New Testament Abstracts Online is a product of a partnership between ATLA and Boston College. The database is an indispensable research and bibliographic aid for scholars, librarians, clergy and students of the New Testament and its historical milieu.  The database contains more than 46,000 article abstracts, over 1,600 review abstracts, 17,000 book abstracts, and 61 software abstracts. Each year an additional 2,000 articles from more than 500 periodicals in numerous languages are selected for inclusion. In addition, approximately 900 current books are also summarized annually. Article coverage in the database dates back to 1985.

These databases may be accessed by using the links below, or by using the library's list of databases or subject guides.
